It’s pivot time! Welcome to Air-filled April (it’s gonna be awesome!) Keep reading for an important helium update, March highlights, upcoming events, and community shoutouts!
The update is to keep the balloons down! In the midst of the war in SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa), the world’s helium supply has been affected. Helium is to be used for medical purposes only. Balloons are not a medical purpose! But we do believe that celebrating is a necessity and we’re launching a NEW air-filled collection to help you celebrate sans-helium!
March is always a highlight because we have one more reason to celebrate all the awesome women in our community! In recognition of International Women’s Day on March 8th we offered FREE photoshoots to women identifying members of our community. It was a jam-packed day of meeting incredible women in varying fields of work and study (and getting them awesome headshots too!)
This International Women’s Day, Haus of Ops offered a workshop to empower the next generation of women in business. We were honoured to bring the balloon magic to this room full of bright young leaders (ages 8-18), their mother figures, and incredible facilitators!
The YWCA’s Women of Distinction Awards are a knockout every year! This year (for the first time), the event was held in Regina’s Globe Theatre. Our city’s theatrical hub was transformed into a powerhouse centre for celebrating women in leadership. The evening was complete with engagement activities, diverse food stations, and of course, and a full program of recognition and entertainment celebrating female excellence!

Spring cleaning is upon us! Tanna’s recent obsession is giving bags of early-2000s clothing new life at Plato’s Closet. Sustainable Spring is the new Hot Girl Summer! Shop second hand this season, and take some gently used items to sell too!
