March 20th is the First Day of Spring?

Whoever said that is full of more hot air than a helium bouquet.

It may not be sundress season but we do still love March! International Women’s Day, fundraiser season, and of course, green beer! Happy “spring” from your favourite local party people. Keep reading for our monthly updates, highlights, and shoutouts!

WE'RE CELEBRATING WOMEN

BBYQR is a proudly female-founded business, and we’re committed to lifting other women up too! In celebration of International Women’s Day, we’re offering FREE photoshoots to women in the workplace on March 15th, 2025. Let us help you get your newest Linked In headshot and have a blast while doing it. Limited spots available ( and regular photoshoot slots are still available for purchase too!)

MEET MOIRAE

Earlier this year, we were accepted into Sask Polytech’s Start-Up Challenge! This mentorship program and pitch competition helps Saskatchewan businesses level up their game. Our incredible mentor, Moirae Choquette, has already made a huge impact on our strategies and plans! Moira’s the founder of Tomato Wheel Lambrusco and the author of a new book, Just Ask Yourself. We highly recommend both!

FEBRUARY HIGHLIGHTS

Where: Queensbury Convention Centre

The South Saskatchewan Community Foundation puts on some of the best events in the city, and this breakfast is always a highlight of our year! This year’s theme of Re-Writing Her Story was about celebrating female strength and ensuring that our next chapter is empowered and united. Did we mention that they raised over $10 000 for the Emergent Women’s and Children’s Fund? Incredible.

Local Barre Turns 9!

When: February, 2026

Where: Local Barre Fitness, Regina

One of our favourite local fitness studios is a whole 9 years old! We’ve been so lucky to grow with Local Barre over the years. If you haven’t checked out their awesome classes and programming, this is your sign!

The YWCA’s Women of Distinction Awards

This year, Regina’s 45th Women of Distinction Awards is a “power party” that shouldn’t be missed! We can’t wait to bring the bold balloons to this gala and give a standing ovation to all the awesome nominees!

COMMUNITY SHOUTOUTS

Cozy Haus Desserts and Coffee - 2245 Albert Street

Yes Regina, the desserts are worth the hype! Tanna and Jen’s meetings are really just opportunities to scout cafes, and Cozy Haus is the top of our list! We’d recommend the cookies. Literally just all the cookies.
