Our favourite event of the year did not disappoint!
As a female-owned and operated business, one of our top causes is supporting initiatives that empower women. Dress for Success fights for a world where women don't live in poverty and supports female-identifying people in the workplace. Their annual EmpowerHer Gala is the event of the year when it comes to celebrating and supporting women. In the wise words of Barbie, sometimes "it's literally impossible to be a woman." Dress for Success recognizes these barriers and helps women rise above them in style.
We are always so grateful when we can partner with causes we're passionate about. When the Dress for Success planning committee reached out, we knew we had to take the décor to the next level! This organization knows how to foster networks of support AND how to throw an awesome party! With cocktails, speakers, and a silent auction, Dress for Success was truly a night (and cause) to remember!
The Design: Float and Florals
This installation was all about elegance. The floating balloon centre pieces were a fun yet classy way to bring the room to life. A custom garland backdrop created the perfect visual focal point for on stage. Like all great installations, we called our pal Candace at Rose & Vine Florals . She hooked us up with a few different greenery options and some florals to add into the centre pieces to bring them to life! We also added floral detailing hanging from the garland for an oh-so-pretty effect.
The Design: Fringe Photo Wall
Our custom fringe photo walls are a stunning way to make sure guests get the opportunity to commemorate an event! This wall was crafted in Dress For Success' red and maroon colour palette with hints of gold for a bit of sparkle. A balloon garland frame brought the look together (but it was the guests' unmatched energy that really brought this wall to life)!

- HAVE A VISION. As a decor business, our role is to bring YOUR vision to life. Dream big, be wild, show us inspo photos from Kardashian birthday parties, and tell us your deepest desires. We can help you reel it back into the realm of what's possible. What we can't do? Come up with your vision for you. When clients are super unclear of what they want, it's 10X more challenging for us to come up with something that will fit the bill. You know your event, your organization, and your clients better than we do. We (hopefully) know balloons better than you do. You dream it, we do it.
- CONSIDER THE SPACE. How high are the ceilings? How big is your venue? How will the space change when there are people, food, drinks, music, etc. in the mix? The great thing about balloons is that they're incredibly versatile. Need to fill the space? A floating wall or custom garland can do just the trick. Worried about sight lines? Aim higher (literally). Thinking UP with decor can help lift a space without crowding it. For Dress for Success, we went with floating centre pieces and small balloons. The space felt full, but no one's view was obstructed when trying to mingle or watch the speeches.
- PHOTO OP, PHOTO OP, PHOTO OP!! It's Instagram's world, we're just living in it. Having a designated set up for guests to take photos is an essential element to every event this day and age. Make sure it's accessible, fun, and BRANDED! These photos are likely what are going to be all over social media the next day, so make sure people know where your guests were. Free publicity anyone? A fringe wall in a custom colour palette is the perfect, low maintenance way to tick all of the boxes!
